Nourishment from the Inside Out: An Integrative Therapy Group for Eating Disorders

Presented by: Gillian Boudreau, Ph.D, and Lakshmi Tinker, E-RYT, Yoga Therapist

The Nourishment from the Inside Out group program is designed for woman struggling with eating disorders; using yoga and meditation interventions as well as discussion and group psychotherapy we are able to explore and break down our tendencies and disordered eating patterns from all angles and depths, nourishing you from the inside out.

This workshop if for you if you:

– have or are struggling with an eating disorder or disordered eating
– anxiety, insecurities or low self esteem, addiction, depression, fear, or guilt
– would like to develop new tools and awareness about how to address your eating disorder in a holistic and integrative way
– want to meet and feel supported by other women experiencing a similar struggle
We will explore: 
– various integrative therapy techniques to bring forth compassion and self love to all aspects of your experience.
– how to connect to your center so that you can move through life from a place of strength and ease
– simple strategies for connecting to the present moment, and how to find truth within your eating disorder.
– how to develop a more mindful and intentional gaze into the root of your current patterns and relationship with your body.
– how-to’s for transformative breathing techniques
You will also receive:

About Gillian:
Gillian is a clinical psychologist and received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. Gillian seeks to help clients understand patterns that may not be serving them, and to hold a safe and empowering space in which positive shifts can occur. Gillian assists clients in finding their own true nature and wisdom so that they may live authentic and satisfying lives. Gillian is a longtime student and teacher of yoga and meditation and often weaves these practices into her work with clients. Lear more about Gillian here.

About Lakshmi:

Lakshmi specializes in meditation and yoga for both teen and adult Eating Disorders, Addiction, and Anxiety. In each of Lakshmi’s classes or individual sessions, she emphasizes breath-based movement from within the subtle body, the energetic core or center space; through instruction in rooting, core integration and energetic expansion each of Lakshmi’s students are able to explore their own union with gravities pull and the strength of their own bodies. Meditative and investigative stillness, along with slow, steady, rhythmic vinyasa awaken us to breath, body, the inherent web of love, and our own essential emptiness.
