FREEVTCIT is turing 5 Years Old!
…and we’d absolutely LOVE to celebrate with you!
We are marking this occasion by opening our doors to all of our clients, the public, local business owners, your friends, your friends friends, their friends… (you get the idea).
We’ll be celebrating all day from 10:00-4:00pm on Saturday, October 3rd with free food, free yoga classes and free workshops, throughout the day!
Mark your calendar now. We promise this will be the perfect opportunity to nourish yourself, get one-on-one support from our renowned practitioners, enjoy some cake, and have some fun 🙂
Scheduled Events:
10:30am – Chanting with Tejbir Kaur Khalsa
Learn how to relax the mind and open the heart with simple rhythmic chanting. No experience necessary.
11:00am – Intro to Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Deb Sherrer, MA Therapeutic Yoga Instructor Enjoy a gentle beginner yoga class led by Psychotherapist and Therapeutic Yoga instructor, Deb Sherrer. Feel more grounded and at home in your body. Learn about how yoga can be beneficial for reducing anxiety, PTSD, and other symptoms. No experience necessary, previous trauma is not prerequisite for exploring this class.
12:00pm – Hormones and Your Health with Dr. Tine D’Amato
Learn how stress impacts hormones and how to balance your hormones to experience improved sleep, libido, and natural weight loss
1:00pm – Food and the Spiritual Journey with Bree, Founder of VTCIT
Learn how the experience of an Eating Disorder and eating patterns in general are deeply intertwined with the Spiritual Journey. Men and Women with or without an eating disorder are encouraged to attend.
2:00pm – Yoga for Anxiety and Addiction with Lakshmi T. Plasha
In this gentle-to-moderate yoga class you will be guided through a series of postures and breathing practices to reduce anxiety and feel a deeper sense of calm and ease in body in mind. Present symptoms of addiction or anxiety are not required, anyone curious is welcome to attend, no prior experience necessary.
3:00pm – Gentle Yoga with Lakshmi T. Plasha
In this gentle yoga class, Lakshmi will guide you through a relaxing and centering practice, perfect for beginners or anyone interested in enjoying a free class on us!
11-1pm – Kate Stefans Sensitivity and Eating Coach Demo
1pm – 3pm – Adena Rose Bright Ayurvedic Practitioner Demo
3pm-4pm – Lauren Fowler, Nutritionist and Dietiian
